Tallow-Rich Restorative Moisturizer
Warm, skin-identical, and unapologetically rich. This is the body butter that works like nothing synthetic can — because at its core is beef tallow, a fat so structurally close to human skin that your cells recognize it immediately. Finished with the warm embrace of cocoa cashmere, it's indulgence with purpose.
Before modern cosmetics, tallow — rendered beef fat — was the gold standard of skin care. It was set aside when petroleum-based emollients became cheap to produce. We brought it back because the science never stopped being true.
Human skin is approximately 50–57% saturated fat, 35% monounsaturated fat, and a small remainder of polyunsaturated fat. Beef tallow's fatty acid composition mirrors this almost exactly. That structural similarity is what makes it absorb so effortlessly and work so effectively — your skin recognizes the lipid profile at a cellular level and uses it, rather than sitting on top of the skin the way synthetic moisturizers do.
At 40% of this formula, tallow is not a novelty or a trend ingredient. It is the formula's foundation — and the reason this butter performs differently than anything made primarily from plant oils.
We made a deliberate choice to keep this formula short. Every ingredient in this butter has a functional role and a clinical rationale. There are no thickeners, no water, no emulsifiers, no preservatives needed — because this is a truly anhydrous formula.
Anhydrous formula note: This product contains no water. That means no emulsifiers, no preservatives, and no risk of microbial growth in the jar. When you apply it, your hands should be dry — water introduced into the formula will break the emulsion and reduce shelf life. The richness you feel is the formula working, not sitting on top of your skin.
The high fat content makes this butter transformative for dry, damaged, or compromised skin. But tallow's non-comedogenic profile and rapid absorption mean it performs well even for those who typically find body butters too heavy.
Because this formula is 100% fat with no water dilution, a small amount delivers more than you expect. First-time users typically use too much — start light and build from there. Your skin will tell you what it needs.
Body butter works hardest when it's applied to skin that's been freshly exfoliated. The scrub lifts the dead cell layer that blocks absorption — then the butter goes straight to work on the fresh skin beneath.
We make two sugar scrubs specifically designed to precede this butter. Use one 2–3 times per week, follow immediately with the Cocoa Cashmere, and the difference in moisture retention is immediate and significant.
