How It Works

Botanicals
meeting skin.

There's something uniquely grounding about a scrub that smells like a warm cup of chamomile tea. The aromatic ritual begins the moment the jar opens — the scent itself signals to the nervous system that it's time to soften, slow down, and receive.

Botanically, this formula works on two levels simultaneously: cane sugar mechanically lifts away what's built up, while calendula and chamomile work at the cellular level to calm what's been irritated. The result is skin that doesn't just look renewed — it feels genuinely cared for.

01
Open & Inhale
Before you even apply it, take a moment with the scent. The chamomile aroma begins working on the nervous system before it ever touches skin — the ritual starts here.
02
Soften in Warmth
Step into a warm shower for 2–3 minutes first. Heat opens the follicles, softens the skin surface, and allows the botanical actives to penetrate more deeply on application.
03
Apply & Massage
Work into damp skin with slow, deliberate circular strokes. Focus where roughness accumulates — elbows, knees, shins, the backs of upper arms. Let the sugar dissolve as it works.
04
Rinse & Rest
Rinse with cool-to-warm water. Pat dry. The light residue of coconut and jojoba oil that remains is intentional — let it absorb rather than wiping it away.

Botanical skin care,
simply done right.

Deep Exfoliation
Cane sugar crystals physically lift and remove the buildup of dead skin cells, revealing the fresher, softer layer beneath. At 70% concentration, there's no compromise in efficacy.
Botanical Calming
Calendula and chamomile are both clinically recognized for reducing skin inflammation and redness. This scrub soothes as it exfoliates — especially valuable for sensitized or reactive skin.
Barrier Nourishment
Shea butter and coconut oil replenish the lipid layer that exfoliation temporarily disrupts. Your skin barrier is left intact — and strengthened — rather than stripped.
Aromatherapy Comfort
The warm, honey-sweet scent of chamomile essential oil has documented anxiolytic properties. Each use becomes a brief, sensory moment of genuine calm in the middle of an ordinary day.
Petal-Soft Texture
Powdered lily flowers add a delicate, almost silky texture to the formula — distinct from plain sugar scrubs. The finish is smooth, with none of the grittiness that stays on the skin after rinsing.
Lasting Softness
Arrowroot powder creates a non-greasy, velvety finish while jojoba oil delivers lightweight, lasting hydration. Skin feels conditioned — not oily — for hours after use.

Every ingredient.
Every purpose.

Ten ingredients. No fillers, no shortcuts. This formula was designed around the idea that botanicals should be functional — not just listed for marketing. Every ingredient has a measurable role in what this scrub does to your skin.

Phase A · Base Oils
Coconut Oil
10% of formula
Rich in medium-chain fatty acids — primarily lauric acid — coconut oil provides deep emollient action and a naturally antimicrobial effect at the skin surface. It melts on contact with warm skin, distributing the formula evenly.
Phase A · Base Oils
Shea Butter
12% of formula
The largest oil component in the formula. Shea's oleic and stearic acid profile mirrors the skin's own lipid structure, supporting the moisture barrier and delivering long-lasting softness that remains well after rinsing.
Phase A · Base Oils
Beeswax
0.5% of formula
A light structural wax that gives the scrub its cohesive body and stability. Beeswax creates a breathable, protective film on the skin surface, helping to lock in the nourishing oils without occluding the pores.
Phase B · Conditioning Oils
Jojoba Oil
5% of formula
Technically a liquid wax, jojoba is structurally closer to human sebum than any other plant-derived oil. It absorbs without heaviness, helps regulate sebum production, and enhances the formula's application feel significantly.
Phase B · Conditioning Oils
Vitamin E
0.5% of formula
A fat-soluble antioxidant that scavenges free radicals at the skin surface while simultaneously protecting the formula's oils from oxidative degradation. It extends shelf life and enhances efficacy in one role.
Phase C · Aromatics
Chamomile Essential Oil
0.5% of formula
Roman chamomile (Anthemis nobilis) — not fragrance oil. Beyond its unmistakable tea-like warmth, chamomile EO contains bisabolol and chamazulene: two compounds with well-documented anti-inflammatory and skin-calming properties.
Phase D · Botanical Actives
Calendula Flowers
0.3% of formula · Powdered
Dried and micronized calendula petals deliver flavonoids and triterpenoids directly to the skin surface. Calendula is one of the most studied botanical anti-inflammatories — particularly effective for reactive, post-sun, or sensitized skin.
Phase D · Botanical Actives
Lily Flowers
0.2% of formula · Powdered
Powdered lily petals contribute a delicate, silky texture that differentiates this scrub tactilely. They also carry mild skin-brightening and conditioning properties, and give the formula its soft, petal-like visual finish.
Phase D · Actives & Exfoliants
Arrowroot Powder
2% of formula
An ultra-fine absorbent that balances the richness of the oil base. Arrowroot creates the characteristic non-greasy, velvety finish — essential for keeping the formula pleasant on skin and clean-rinsing in the shower.
Phase D · Actives & Exfoliants
Cane Sugar
70% of formula
The foundation. At 70%, cane sugar is the formula's dominant force — and deliberately so. Its fine crystals exfoliate effectively while dissolving progressively as they work, naturally self-regulating abrasion intensity. Naturally humectant.

On botanical powders: Calendula and lily are used in powdered form — not as extracts or fragrance. This means you're getting the full spectrum of the plant's bioactive compounds delivered directly to the skin, not a processed derivative. Small percentages; significant effect.

Made for every skin.
Especially sensitive ones.

The botanical core of this formula — chamomile, calendula, lily — makes Herbal Bloom uniquely well-suited to skin that doesn't always tolerate active products well. If you've struggled with scrubs that leave you red or reactive, this one was built with you in mind.

Sensitive Skin
Ideal Match
Chamomile, calendula, and lily all contribute anti-inflammatory action. Sugar's self-dissolving mechanism naturally limits over-exfoliation. This is the scrub sensitive skin has been waiting for.
Dry Skin
Ideal Match
The shea and coconut base delivers moisture as it exfoliates — the combination of scrubbing and nourishing simultaneously is exactly what chronically dry skin responds to best.
Normal Skin
Great Match
Maintains balance beautifully. Use 2x weekly to keep skin polished and your shower routine something worth looking forward to.
Oily Skin
Good Match
Jojoba and arrowroot help maintain balance without stripping. Use 1x per week and rinse well. The chamomile's calming effect is a bonus for congested or acne-adjacent skin.

Your weekly
botanical reset.

Use 1–3 times per week depending on your skin's needs. The gentleness of the botanical formula means even sensitive skin can typically tolerate twice-weekly use comfortably.

Begin with warmth
Use after 2–3 minutes in a warm shower. Do not apply to completely dry skin — the formula is designed to work with moisture, not against it.
Scoop with a dry hand or spoon
Avoid introducing water into the jar. A quarter-sized scoop covers one body zone generously. The botanical powders will be visible — that's the formula working.
Slow, circular massage
Work into skin with gentle circular pressure. This is not a scrub that benefits from force — let the sugar do the work. 30–60 seconds per area is sufficient.
Inhale, then rinse
Take a breath with the chamomile still in the air before you rinse. Then rinse with warm water and pat — don't rub — dry. The light oil residue absorbs on its own.
Frequency guide
Sensitive or dry skin: 1–2x weekly. Normal skin: 2–3x weekly. Oily skin: 1–2x weekly. Consistency over 3–4 weeks is where the results become clearly visible.
